On my recent trip to India, Chocolate was one of the few movies I watched. I do not intend to give you the storyline or details of the actors in the movie, because there are several such reviews already, but this is just an overall judgement of it from my perspective.
*Movie is made very slick, stylish and un-Bollywood like, which is instantly an attraction. The good thing is that the actors also are stylish and slick and compliment the style in which the movie is made and set in.
*Songs are refreshingly different and include slow and fast numbers mixed properly. Some songs which I’m sure everyone would like is ’’Zahreeli Raatein’’(Which was unfortunately missing from the movie!), Halka Halka Ye Nasha(Sonu Nigams voice is awesome), and the item number by Tanushree called ’’Mummy’’(which kinda grows on you when you listen it a few times)
*Tanushree Dutta has achieved her goal of being eye candy(atleast for me!). She would really blush if I told her what was going through my mind as I watched her in the movie.
*Movie starts off well, but suffers from the same old dragging after the second half where you might just fall asleep for awhile, and thats bad news for this movie
*Climax is stunning and different from the normal fare, and that made up for the drawbacks of the movie. I’m sure no one would have guessed this kind of a climax, and just for the ending of the movie, I would recommend that this movie be watched if you have nothing better to watch.
This Chocolate may not be good enough to PERK you up, but it definitely is something you can MUNCH on!
