All of us certified geeks, (and those who had just hopped into the not-so-elite bandwagon) eagerly awaited the Chip Magazine every month. It brought with it hopes, aspirations and of course free bundled software. So when Chip (Vogel) and Jasubhai split up (Business World 28th May 2001) we were sorely dissapointed and just hoped the new version titled Digit would be as good. After all we consoled ourselves it was the same editorial, minus Gourav.
Well, full marks to Jasubhai Shah for Digit is a worthy successor to Chip.
The magazine is very international interms of looks and layout and in no way less impressive than the Chip we were all so used to having on our shelves. The CDs were as good with decent software updates and lots of fun for kids. Nor were the hardcore techies ignored.
Albeit the magazine looks a lot like Chip, even much of the layout is the same, that maybe a ploy to keep the Chip readers happy.
All in all a worthy successor.
