Hey all,
Having been busy, busy and more busy with work all the while, I finally decided its high time I need to take a tiny break. Fortunately for me one of my closest collegue felt the same and we hit the idea of visiting a pub. This was backed by my honeys wish to chill out somewhere other than Neclace road and Shilparamam.
Frankly, I havent been to a pub/disco before. So I turned to MS. A few quick checks and I chose ESCAPE, mainly because the music was praised just like Sania Mirza was, when she earned a remarkable place in International tennis. Being a music lover, I recollected all my favourite music numbers and my adrenalin pumped at the thought of hearing most of them.
So finally, all three of us made it to ESCAPE on Saturday at 7:45pm.
The big door man greeted us with a nice welcome ..... and once inside
the first observation was, ...
the music was good (to start with) but too loud for the place. The seating was ok. My friend wanted to enjoy a bar-stool, so we tried to spot a table with bar stools, but alas, we couldnt find a 3/4 chair table (with bar stools), so we had to settle down for a 1sofa/2chair table and honestly, it wasnt very confortable to eat there.
We ordered some soft drinks (all of us are non-alcoholics) and starters to a very prompt waiter who disappeared. Meanwhile we were enjoying some good numbers, but were disappointed to see a No Requests Please board hanging above the DJ. We had a good time of about an hour and by then were literally sweting only to realize that the A/C was not fully on, and neither were the exhaust fans on to take away the cigerette smoke, therby making us passive smokers.
Then we ordered some food and waited for it. Meanwhile, God knows whats wroooong, the DJ started playing the same numbers again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No sign of Bryan Adams, Phil Collins, etc.....
We waited for another hour and half to see if we can find some interesting numbers (atleast something that weve heard before), but NAh..... none at all (Maybe I dont know enough music).
So, we decided to call our party-time off......
All in all, it is a place to go if you are getting bored and have no where to go. But Im sure there are many other better places (and well check them out in days to come).
