Love can make life but.... it can also take life

Hi Friends,

I just went to see the latest movie up on screens ?FIDA? with actors like Shahid Kapoor (Kapur), Kareena Shahid Kapoor and Fardeen Khan. Well the movie is a good KHICHADI of Darr, Khakee, Dil to Pagal hai , Darrarand few other scenes of some other top movies but yet is a visual treat for someone who wants something different from the routine stuff, the director and writer has made their best efforts to use the mix of the above movies to create an altogether a different movie.

Well our actor Jai (SHAHID)? is head over heels in love with NEHA (Kareena) who too accepts the proposals from Shahid after him performing some typical self harming exercises (yes, exercises) for her. One day she tries to kill herself in Nafisa Joseph style but Shahid enters the last moment and saves her, this is when Kareena Kapoor tells him that she has to pay 6 crores to a gang whom her father had taken money from. Shahid who is madly in love with Kareena wants to leave no stone unturned to save his love, he plans to rob a bank but since the security is so tight he plans to rob Fardeen who enters the bank to withdraw a whooping 7 crore from his account.

Shahid enters Fardeen?s glassy villa (check the movie for the glassy bungalow) at night to loot but eventually gets caught by Fardeen, Fardeen is ready to give Shahid 6 crores against his life, he wants Shahid to pose as an internet hacker who had robbed 550 crores from a bank?s internet site to the police which is actually committed by Fardeen. Shahid hands himself to the police but after some stupid action sequence he escapes the scene and enters kareena?s residence through her window, he calls out for her where kareena is sharing shower with boyfriend Fardeen , Shahid understands that Kareena had cheated on him.

INTERVAL ? Popcorn, Samosas or hot Coffee time with some tete-a -tete.

Shahid now plans to bounce back , and comes back in a style of Arbaaz khan of Daraar

and is nasty like Shahrukh of Darr to scare Kareena. He pops out from anywhere like an invisible Mr India and skis away Kareena and locks her in a KHANDAR type old house.

Fardeen who tries to save his lady love shares a few dhishum dhishum with Shahid and both get wounded but Fardeen eventually fires around 7 to 8 bullets on Shahid from his pistol (but hey I heard that a pistol can shoot only 6 rounds of bullets?) , yet Shahid manages to say some dialogues before dying and he gets hold of a gun with 1 bullet and kills Kareena by shooting her straight in the center of her eyebrows ( Bulls eye for a perfect bindi) for her cheating him.

The direction is good, the plot is unusual but nice, songs are ok (but once you come out of the theatre you forget them), locations are good.

Performances :

Shahid : He acts no less like a superstar with a style which is a mix of Shahrukh-Hrithik and Body display of Salman. It doesn?t suit him as it looks over and doesn?t match his age. I didn?t find it good but I know some senseless girls won?t agree on my statements.

Kareena: Acts well in certain scenes, and looks good mostly with the greasepaint on, but looks really bad when she is without it.

Fardeen : He suits this character and does justice with it but looks intoxicated as usual.

Kim Sharma : Cold as ever but looks good and makes an impact like Mallika and Neha Dhupia in the initial scenes. ;)

The Movie is worth a watch for people who like unusual stories and good performances but I think the only place where the story gets weaker is when Shahid Kapoor dies.

Though he dies he should have been projected as innocent of the bank robbery which lives with him till his death. I would have preferred the story ending with the deaths of the bad (Kareena and Fardeen) and the victory of the good (Shahid) and he taking a U turn to Kim Sharma who loves Shahid (genuinely)

Do watch, analyze and enjoy it.
