In an industry where most of the films cater to Male performers, where the heoines are mostly doing the song n dance stuff, Its tough to pick on talented performers. Thats what most people say.But then there have been excellent performances by the heroines as well. Well here are my picks of Actresses who are tops.
1) Madhubala: This heroine of the yesteryears still conjures up magic with her performances of the past. The smile, her grace, the twinkling eyes, do refreshen anybody. The masti , the ada was there in her, as is evident in all her films. No wonder, she is still cherished.Chalti Ka naam gadi, Half ticket etc are her fun films.
2)And then who can forget those classy performances of this actress in Pakeezah, sahib Bibi aur gulam, Mere Apne, Baiju Bawra. Meena Kumari Sure did win hearts with her performances.Any kind of roles suited her and she excelled in each of them.
3)Now to the current years. Madhuri Dixit does come in my list on account of her spontaneous and hearty performances. This lady has also doled out her best in a wide array of films. Different treatment to different roles.Take for instance Prahaar, Dil, HAHK, Dil to paagal Hai. This talented actress infused life into every inch of her roles.And she is a delight to watch in her dances.She just oozes oomph and grace too.
4) A slow starter , this lady from a talented family has come into her own now of late with powerpacked performances in a wide array of Roles. Take her role in Raja Hindustani, or Fiza, or Dil to Paagal hai. She too is essaying her roles with a lot of class. zubeida was another feather in her crown.Yes friends, Karishma has arrived.
5) She has hardly performed in many films, but this actress is sure to go a long way. She has already proved her prowess in her films. The Sibling of KArishma, Kareena is one good performer for sure. Her roles in Refugee, and Mujhe Kuch Kehna hai have already ascertained that she is in a league of her own.Hence I have selected her.
Selecting Kareena was the tough act for me, cause she just edged over another performer Kajol. It was tough to leave her out. Others who almost made it include Nutan, Juhi, Sridevi.
