Money tends to burn a hole in my pocket. I like to have a set amount of CASH so I don’t buy stuff on impulse that I’ll hate later. Go the Mall of America in your backyard? Skip it(or postpone the trip) and look online for what you want to gauge a price. There are plenty of deals online, especially on shipping. Decide what you’re looking for. Never works, but at least you can laugh remembering you originally were headed into the mall for pants and ended buying everything but pants.
Maybe cause I’m not that social, but I hate going shopping with certain people when I know exactly what I want. However if the way to the mall is going to be adventure invite the amigos over and kiss that L on your forehead goodbye.(Come on everyone looks sad when they’re alone in the mall)
Whether it’s the Gap or AE, head straight to what I like to call’the rack.’ Stuff that’s color is out of season, style has been discontinued, whatever the clearance racks is chock full of good finds, horrifying shirts that nobody should buy and real good buys- sometimes. Old Navy is notorious for$2.99 tee shirts and$.97 flips flops during winter and even the Gap sells great sweaters and khakis for ten bucks.
Got a teenage daughter that wants to rip of Avril who ripped of Gwen Stefani? End the cycle of buying pre ripped and pre dirt coated jeans. You want jeans that look like someone pissed on the pant legs. go in your attic, to a local garage sale or ebay.com buy the jeans, buy the clothing dye at your grocer’s and get started on the wonderful world of creating your own clothes.Beware, once you cut something up, it’s going to be real hard to repair the damage done.
Actually, now that I think about Malls come up short when it comes to originality and individuality. Everyone’s buying a rugby shirt. resist the urge to put on a media created uniform. then again, I’m a repressed punk emo lover, so decide for yourself, ’do you want the blue pill or the red one?’
