Grease is probably the only movie that I have watched a couple of dozen times. Usually I watch a movie once and that is it. This one takes me back to my high school days. The acting is great and the songs are great.
John Travolta (Danny) met Olivia Newton John (Sandy) on a beach and had a summer romance thinking they would never see each other again, as she was supposed to go back to Australia.
Danny is a guy that feels he has to be hip and show no emotions in front of his friends and plays rather a tough guy, while Sandy is sweet and innocent and what I would call a Miss Goody Two Shoes.
Danny went to Rydell high school and was starting his senior year when school was back in session. He was bragging to his friends about Sandy and making it sound like he had his way with her.
Sandy ended up going to Rydell High and made friends with a group of girls called the pink ladies. Rizzo played by Stockard Channing was out to get Danny by embarrrasing him.
When Sandy told her about her summer romance Rizzo set it up so they would run into Danny. Sandy was excited when she seen Danny but he had to play it cool in front of her friends and it hurt Sandys feelings.
There is a lot of music in this movie, by Danny and his friends and the Pink ladies. Frankie Avalon makes an appearance also.
All through the movie many things happen but the main thing is Danny and Sandy wanting to be together which meant that one of them had to change and it was Sandy that did a huge transformation and knocked Dannys socks off.
I don’t want to go into great detail in case their is anyone that hasn’t seen this. If you haven’t I recommend it. It is one you will want to watch over and over.
