HATHWAY --worst customer support

I got this connection 3 months back......till the end of 2 and half months the connection was perfect.I did nt even know the customer service no....but problems started about 10 days from my renewal time....the plan tht I had taken was 512kbps 3 gb plan.....my connection was down and I had to search the initial pymt bill to fint the cust serv no....called them and a cso replies that I had used up my limit and tht I had to renew to use the conn again...i said ok...then I checked  what all I had downloaded..it was not more than 1 gb of songs ...then I thought I wud have used it for another 1 gb...so the next day I called up and askd the rep to connect me to the supervisor...the supervisor told me tht I have not used my full limit and tht I have about 800 mb left.


I asked why my connection is down....he apologized and told tht he will see to tht I get the connection immediately...Surprisingly I did get the connection immediately.......But not for long.....After 3 days it again I could not use it...this time whn I called they told me it ws time for my renewal and tht I had to pay up....i said ok as only 2 dys were left for my renewal and I told them to snd the collection agent to collect the money.....this happend on the 9 th of nov...from tht day I had called them everyday till the 23 rd of nov and I got really angry with the responses tht I got....i shouted at them tht I am going to disc the connection and I recorded the response tht the rep gve me on my mobile phone...but nothing happened ...they never sent the person......Everyday it was the same fake promises tht they have conveyed the message to the renewal dept and it is not the fault of the customer service department.


I said F**k them and decided to throw the modem out and decided to wait till the first of dec to get a new connection from some other service provider....But Miracle Happened on the 30 th of nov...people from the renewal dept of Hathway called me and askd if they cud come and collect the check....I shouted at them telling abt the continuous calls tht I had done ....But renewal dept just apologised and put the blame on the customer serv dept....i just laughed and told them to take my check...They Promised me tht I will be given a connection by saturday morning...I was given a connection Which lasted for 12 hours......Sunday Morning When I called customer service They told it was a temp connection tht ws given to me and I was told to wait for half an hour and that they would call me....Today Morning ....ie..Dec 3rd..


I had to book tickets for my grand dad to delhi...I called the cust serv and asked them if I can get a temp connection for atleast half an hour so tht I can book the tickets..I told them tht I had paid the bill and they asked for a reciept no ...when questioned if they will give me a connection if I gave them the recipt no they said yes...and whn I gave the reciept no they just told they cnt give the connection and hung up...i called them back immediately and shouted at them and asked if they can give me a connection or not....they told no...and I was treated so badly like a beggar being shooed away from a shop.....But today morning  ai got a call from a lady from Hathyway and I played them the conversation tht I had recorded on the mobile phone.....within 15 mins a manager called me and apologised and gve me the connection within half an hour....Well There is no problem technically with this company...Their customer support is bad and renwal is one BIG pain....


I think reading this would make you tired...But think how I would be right now........I work in customer service  and if I treat my customers the way they treat...then I would be chucked out of my company...i already told this to the manager when he had called......


Guys...


My advice STAY AWAY........


THERE ARE LOTS OF OPTIONS OUT THERE>>>>>>>>


UPDATE------15TH   DECEMBER 2007


I GOT MY CONNECTION UP AND RUNNING ON 7TH OF DECEMBER...........


No problem of any sort with the connection...it’s running pretty well.....no problem at all...The only issue was the customer support and the technical side of the connection has been very satisfying........But still Think b4 jumping in........
