I am from ghatkopar west... Initially i had checked for broad band connection with mtnl ....but then i found the rajesh hathway cable internet connection charges cheaper than mtnl ....plus it had some extras like they have a link where you can watch free movies, musics etc..... Big mistake !!!
I had subscribed for 6 months connection ...it was rs.2, 640 for the 512 kbps speed unlimited connection... Now the unlimited doesnt match with rajesh hathway internet ... My connection gets dis-connected 4-5 times in a week !!! Call the customer service, they ask you the same question " kaha pe ??? " .then they say " okay , technician ko bhejte hai " ...but it takes on 3-4 hrs with frequent calls to them about the internet still not being restored ... Then it gts restored the next day !!! Believe me in 6 months ..i must be getting connections for 4 months only if we calculate the dis-connections...
And the worst thing is that they dont have a crm system in which just by entering the customers cell number they get all the details ... Because suppose i make a complain at 12 pm, they will note down the address, phone number & say technician ko bhejenge .... When calling them after few hours about the status , again they ask you " kaha pe ? " !!!!! Are they serious ?!?!?! How many times should a customer have to give his address & tel number ????
Also, there timings are from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm... But believe me they wont answer the phone the whole day. If your internet is dis-connected after 7:30 pm , then you have no hopes of getting connection till the next day morning (that too if they answer the phone) ..they have lots of telephone numbers for the customers to contact them (around 5-6), but they answer the calls after a long time !!! When speaking to one of their staff, you can listen to the phones ringing constantly & unanswered in the background ...
What is the use of it being cheaper, when you have a frequent dis-connections (4-5 times a week) ???
I have 2 laptops, a blackberry & a Samsung note (for which i have no data plan, therefore need the wi-fi internet)... Then also i have to go to the nieghbouring internet cafe for some work due to the internet being down....
Their excuses are that the power supply in the main control room is down, so that is why internet is down ..sometimes they say due to the rains internet is down ....what bullshit !!! It has been happening for the last 4-5 months when there were no rains (rains have just started now)....
I have few days for my rajesh hathway internet subscription to expire....but i am thinking about going for the mtnl ....mtnl subscription is expensive ...i want now an 1 mbps unlimited speed & i think from mtnl it costs rs. 999. ... What to do ? In todays world it is important to have a reliable connection , then have a connection which is cheaper, but remains unreliable ...
Anybody in ghatkopar, can you give me suggestions ???
