I am at Bangalore. I was quite happy with BSNL broadband services. Hathway advertised to give 50 mbps internet connection for Rs.766/-.
Their sales representative pestered me to take Hathway connection. After his one month continuous pestering I took the connection on 28.04.2014. Ever since the connection is given the speed never was more than 3 mbps and their engineer takes a test on OONKLA speed test which was showing 5 mbps. But any other speed test on the website showed speed ranging between 500 kbps to 5 mbps to the maximum, and the speed was very slow. There are frequent disconnections.
They do not have toll free phone number. Every time I have to contact help desk no. 40161616 and wait for half an hour for the person on the other side to talk to me. Finally he assures to rectify the defect in 24 hrs, which never happens. Till today the speed is not increased and disconnections are frequent. Their nodal officer one Mr.Rajgopal who is fit for nothing does not reply my email and sms messages. Now he has run away and one Mr. Mahesh equally fit for nothing fellow has not replied any of my emails. I do on line share trading and incurred heavy monitory losses due to the slowness and frequent disconnections.
I have asked the company to return about rs.5000/- and close my case or else I shall seek readdress in the Consumer court. Will any reader suggest me how to tackle these fellows PLEASE.
