Been a Hathway Customer for three years.
And I guess its enough for you to understand that its been good!

I thrive in Mahavir Nagar, Kandivali West, Mumbai. I had MTNL before and although I had some good experience with them, they probably messed up and their support is very poor. I lost my nerve with them and finally gave up and switched to hathway.
Just because MTNL’s Land line services seem to be reliable( its archaic now) I went for their internet. But I figured out that reliability depends upon where you live!
Hathway has a’not-so-good’ reputation and the 25% recommendation from Mouthshut users speaks itself.
but these guys don’t have their own offices like MTNL, they have a franchise business!
So it depends upon the franchiser!
These ppl came to my building and they had a very lucrative deal, they wont charge me a penny for any installation; all I had to do was pay them for the plan which I opted!
My franchiser is good and although they gave me some hiccups they do give me a very reliable service.
The Connection is 24 x 365 Online connection and there is rarely any disconnection, there has been problems from their side, but it was tolerable.
They use coaxial cables which give better connectivity than the phone lines.
Speed is not an issue, web pages do load @ a good rate, I have a 256 kbps
connection with unlimited download, they charge me 800 bucks! and its quite reasonable.
Surfing and Downloading is good, gives around 80% of the mentioned speed almost consistently.
Also their support is good!
Also I do play games online such as Counter-strike and Warcraft, and the speed is good!
no sort of lags or high pings!
So over-all i’ll rate it 4.25 / 5.

I didn’t(for hathway), but that’s not the case always!
