I finally decided to get a internet connection at home after being used to the Internet at office.
So I start my search by checking out the various tariff plans on the net and also interacting with collegues to get a realistic picture( though nobody in the office had used hathway).
Most of the people that I talked with recommended going in for airtel and pior I had used tata indicom at office also( with the Lan also).
So I decided on Airtel and called them up and they said they will contact me with a "feasibility report" and after 3 days I get a SMS that they cannot provide service in my Area.
Tata indicom was available but I would have to pay for the installation and modem and+ the monthly charges.
Hathway came in here now, they offered free installation and free modem( offer to good to resist) and 3 months at 1684/-(including taxes otherwise 1500)
SO the first month was great awesome browsing speed and download speed+ night 11pm to 9am unlimited download.
After the 1st month disconnections started to happen at random time. sometimes at 12.00 when the free browsing starts and even in the morning.
Things got worse and now the brwosing spees is like my bsnl dialup and download speed just dont ask. I get all sort’s of messages for unable to download.
called customer care at 40161616 and they are dumb and pathetic and the Email responses are naive. Now they have even stopped replying to Emals and dont pick up the calls or pick up the receiver and keep it down.
HORRIBLE experience, please never go for hathway!
