Hi,
If you are planning to go to Goa and are confused w.r.t the hotel you want to say, then this review will be of great use to you. My suggestion would be to take a resort in south goa only. North goa is very crowded and hence, you may not get the peace you are looking for. Secondly, dont take a normal hotel, rather take a resort, one which is spread in the mid of greenry. No use of taking normal hotels when you can find them in all cities. Right...
Now lets come to Holiday Inn. This resort has been recently upgraded to 5 star from 4 star. It is adjust to Hotel Leela. My first choice was hotel Leela, but rooms were not available. This resort suited my budget 15k to 20k for a trip of 4 nights for doublebed room. The resort is beautiful. Best part of resort is definitely the beach. Casino, sauna, spa, gym, disco are other advantages. Pool is small but well maintained. The only thing that pinched was lots of kids. But I guess this must be so in every resort. Plan you holiday for 4 nights. First day reach there in evening, enjoy the night sight. Next day go for half day sight seeing. BUS for sight seeing is not good. Instead of taking the free half day sight seeing. Higher a cab, preferably from cabs standing outside (will give you some discount), take whole day trip of goa. Third and forth day enjoy resort. Its beach, pool, disc, casino etc.
