My experience with Laptop service and you be the judge "can we rely"on them
I sought their services as my laptop was not booting. They messaged their Engineer will visit
at 1600 hrs, as per my request, will examine and quote the charges An office boy came armed with their Invoice pad, noted the details of laptop entered his name in the Engineer column, signed.Assured that the laptop will be repaired and returned in two hours.I was delighted as it was a Saturday. I got a call from Laptop Systems that the system is ready, but they did not check the hardware, and if I want then they will deliver on Monday.Charges
Rs.350(mandatory)+500, total Rs.850.Okayed and opted for Monday delivery
Monday came and a message the person is on his way.Then followed a message that the total cost is Rs.1700/giving details of the cost and add" this is as per HouseJoy".
On delivery I talked to the person and called the Laptop Manager and protested about the inflated bill. After some arguments he settled for 850.There was no Invoice, Bill and I had no option but to give him the cash and take his signature in the form he has given me giving the details of my laptop
The services?
The laptop is booting.My Apps all deleted, including my Paid antivirus software and replaced by a free version Malware.Only Windows 7 and Googl escaped their chopping. I could not even login to my Bank, not being a secure service. I called the Laptop System and the engineer asked me to go to the app he has installed, without permission, logged in
remotely and instructed the procedure to rectify the mistake.
To my surprise I got a billl for Rs.350. I called them for confirmation that this is in addition to the350/ Laptop System has charged me.They later confirmed that I need not pay!.
I commented on their Facebook page and promptly came their call asking for the details
The caller admitted the lapses, and requested me to continue the relation
Seek your advice from all those who have used such online sites providing household services whether it is prudent to go back to them.
ps: I am still retaining the only proof of their service the Laptop Systems "Cash Receipt for Job NO 2103(144914 as per HOUSEJOY msg)
