I have seen lots of negative impression. But I wonder in my case I have never faced any trouble with ICICI. Rather I have developed some kind of dependency upon the brand ICICI. I have bank account for a period of nearly six years and I have credit card for a period of five years. My experience is good. Occasional controversies were there but speedy redresal were also there.
Why I liked the service :
1. Good web Service : ICICI maintains a very good web site. The site virtually caters the need of a branch. Believe me, in these six years I had to visit a branch only once a year to collect interest statement for IT purpose. Everything else could be done from website. I have experience of several other bank websites. ICICI web service Infinity as they call it is simply the best.
2. Prompt response : Whenever I wrote mail to ICICI (from web portal itself), I was sure to have a quick response. First they acknowledge the receipt of the mail and then give a proper date by which they would do the needfull. They never failed. If they had any problem they also communicate that.
3.Bill payment : ICICI have a bill payment. I pay my electricity, telephone bill, LIC premium from the ICICI site using credit card. Thus it becomes safe, hasslefree and I can also earn credit point out of my regular payment need.
What everyone need to do is to have a regular scrutiny of the transactions as always they are available online. If you see any problem straightway shoot a mail. I do not rely on the customer care executive. Mail is reponded by a branch manager and it becomes a official record. I have always got reply clarifying everything even if it amounts to Rs Two only !
