Indiaplaza's customer service on a free fall

I hoped they would stop cheating me repeatedly. But they didn’t. Now it’s my turn to give my piece of mind about this fraud website.


Well, the story is like this.




  1. Ordered Rs.1000/- indiaplaza GC on Indiaplaza(Aug 27th). Got an e-mail confirmation about successful order. The GC never came to e-mail and after opening multiple tickets and sending reminders - without getting any response, I called. A couple of times later, they(sadly?) gave me just a GC number on Sep 22nd. Note that they didn’t send any e-mail apart from the confirmation e-mail, although they promised to send one.




  2. The GC is supposed to have a validity of 90 days. But mine expired on 27th Nov! It’s clear they count number of days from the date of order and not from the date of delivery, which is OK if the latter is not too far from the earlier date. But in this case, a month delay(that too after I reminded them) is totally unacceptable.




  3. I opened another ticket(CNT0812110125) and called customer service a couple of times to extend the validity of the voucher. Finally, they extended(a lie) the validity till 8th Jan 2012 - of course, not before they informed me that they are extending the validity of the voucher second time! WTF, they never delivered the GC in the first place on e-mail to me till date.




  4. The GC didn’t work but as expected they closed the reopened ticket again. But I quickly opened it back and called them:<




  5. This time, I was really angry on phone and demanded that the voucher should be activated immediately, the guy told me to try using it again after some time. This response, of course,  is not too different from the one repeated by one of his(robo?) colleagues. I asked him what they will do if the GC still doesn’t work and his reply is’You can do whatever you want’. so here I am folks writing this review.






Oh yes, the GC still doesn’t work and I have no hopes of getting it back now. The only reason why I am writing this review is because a few months back I wrote on homeshop18 review that I had good experience shopping on Indiaplaza, which was of course true. But things have changed and it would be a crime if I don’t write about the new and improved version of Indiaplaza.in - Indiaplaza.com


Update on 7th Jan


Finally they ACTUALLY extended the validity. Thanks to Ms/Mrs Kausalya for doing the needful.
