I’ve bought books so far from this site & usually books here are available cheaper than other sites. The only problem is that their delivery takes far longer than other comparable sites.
The last time I bought an MP3 player online as it was available cheaper on this site (as usual). However, the item turned out to be faulty & they asked me to return it & they would refund the money alongwith the courier charges.
The item was ordered on 18.09.2011 & shipped back to them on 04.10.2011. Today is the 25th & I haven’t even received the refund for the item, let alone the courier charges. Everytime I call their customer care number, I’m given a new complaint number to follow-up with the remark that the order has been cancelled & the refund will be initiated.
What’s worse is that there is no way one can escalate matters & is at the mercy of incompetent customer care personnel.
Thankfully, the amount at stake is less than Rs. 500/-, a small price to pay!
My recommendation would be to try this site for books & unbranded items less than a certain limit which you wouldn’t mind risking. Also, be prepared for shipping delays and totally clueless customer care in case things go wrong.
It’s already 08.11.2011 & there is still no sign of the refund & the customer care is clueless as usual :(
