On June 29th 2008, I ordered a car audio system through IndiaPlaza website. Before this, I have used the website to buy a book and an iPod. There were no problems in those cases. But this time, they sent a wrong product instead of the one I ordered. Since then my ordeal has been running for over a month now(july 22nd). Even before I could unpack it fully, I saw that it was wrong product from the cover. I stopped unpacking and informed customer care. After lots of mails and threats, finally they took back the wrong shipment. However, I am still waiting for the right one to arrive. There is no way to cancel the order!
People, please dont be lazy to go to normal stores. These e-shopping sites are great as long as there is no problem. But if there is an issue, you are at their mercy. If I had walked into a store, the matter would have been over in an hour. Now for the past one month I dont have an audio system in my new car:( Its a really pathetic situation at indiaplaza when it comes to order replacement.
Please dont suffer like so many of us here and at other consumer forums.
Dont use the e-shopping sites. Atleast I am never ever going to shop at any e-shopping site from now!
