I request all readers not to waste your time and more importantly money shopping on Indiaplaza. They have tied up with all third-grade vendors who are the same ones you can find on rediff shopping or sify shopping. There is no guarantee that you will receive the item you order for or get a proper refund. If you utilize any coupon during purchase, the refund given will be only for the cash amount and not the coupon amount.
My experience is not with one but three orders. All of them were placed on 10 June09. I made several calls to their call center to enquire about the status of these orders and everytime I was given a standard reply that the item will be shipped out in 2-3 days. The same "will be done in 2-3 days" response was obtained by email also when I emailed them. In between I was also give a courier tracking number and on checking with Aramex couriers I found that no such consignment has been shipped.
Finally, I wrote to their CEO K .Vaitheeswaran in the first week of Aug09 after which a few agents called me and assured me that the shipment would be taken care of. But the same story continued.
After sending a reminder to their CEO again, the next day I was informed that my money for 2 orders has been credited to my’pre-paid’ account. On enquiring with the call center agent, I found that’pre-paid’ account means the money will remain with Indiaplaza and can be used for future purchases. On raising my voice, I was told that the money will be credited back to my credit card. Hope this will happen soon.
I still do not know the status of the third order. Whether, I will get my money back or not, I have to wait and see.
The sole reason given for all 3 items was that they were out of stock. I do not understand how 3 different items can be out of stock. It is just an excuse to hold your money I guess. Maybe these people are just in the process of clearing their stocks and will shut down when done. So dont risk your money here. In my experience there is only one genuine online shopping site in India https://ebay.in where your money is safe and refund can be obtained easily if not satisfied.
