With Reference to my review below, I have been refunded the remaining amount bak into my bank account.
I’m sure that I wouldn’t shop online unless it is a very reliable portal. I have never had a pathetic experience so far shopping online. I was given gift certificate worth Rs. 250 from the credit card company I use. Since it was given by a reputable credit card company I did not check the reliability of the IndiaPlaza.in website.
Flaw 1: I did not find anything interesting to buy as I was looking to gift my girlfriend. Atlast I found a product that would be appropriate to gift. I went through the payment process and to my first agony, to purchase with gift certificate, I need to buy products worth Rs. 1000. So for the sake of buying something for myself I browsed the movie section.
Flaw 2: There were promotional offers presented at the DVD, VCD Movies section, it showed famous movies with discount of 10% or more. But when you click the menu on the left side, the same movies would not have the discount and it would have relatively double the cost that was mentioned initially. This shows either they haven’t maintained the website or they are trying to fool the customers.
Flaw3: Atlast I found a movie and a CD ROM for myself. I still fell short of Rs. 100 and to fill in that I bought a CD ROM for my girlfriend. The total amount came to Rs. 1151 and with the gift certificate discount I paid Rs. 901 from my ICICI account. All products were shipped as I expected but for one product. The CD ROM which I ordered for myself did not reach me and did not get any update about it. When I checked the website, that product was cancelled.
I asked for the reason, and I did get a prompt reply saying that they did not have stock of it and cancelled it, but I did not have any clue if they have already reimbursed the amount back to my account. The product was charge Rs. 299 including shipping charges.
FRAUD: After series of emails I found that they had only reimbursed Rs 49 back to my account. I did not understand the logic, and when enquired back, they said that they have reimbursed Rs. 250 back to the gift certificate and remaining Rs. 49 to my bank account. They asked me to use the gift certificate before it expired. But, the catch is: If I have to use the certificate, I need to purchase for another Rs. 1000.
