The magic about A.R.Rehman’s music is that it grows on you every time you hear it. It has been with all his albums, and this is no less. Javed Akhtar is a great poet, his lyrics are usually good.But when he teams up with a good music director, he generates gems. And This combination of his with A.R.Rehman is fabulous. Class is written all over this album. Rehman has indeed given some good numbers lately. Zubeida was one such album, and now Lagaan.The promo song Ghanan Ghanan is good, but it is the song Mitwa that return to you lips, as you hum it often. Then there is another good number, Radha Kyon na jle. This does remind you of old classic songs. Lata renders Paalnhare with the class that is associated with her. The chale chalo with rehman lending his voice is also a good number. The album is one with an earthy sound to it.
All said and done, its GVFM (good value for money).So go ahead and buy it.
