Good Buy

I had bought a WF-S7512FN (and not HN). It cost me just over a 11800/- at a Vasanth & Co. (I am not going into the details of service by the dealer, the least I can say is dont buy it from vasanth & co). It has been 3 months since I purchase and the bottom line "I am happy".

I had settled down to a top loaded version and had found LG cheaper than the versions in Samsung or Whirlpool. The STS (stainless stell) drum is big advantage as it remains clean and does not get stained. I have little to do once I put my clothes and the washing power in. Although number of wash programs is small it suits me. There is an economy wash mode but it hardly does any wash unless yo have taken care of soaking the clothes in bucket prior to washing. I always prefer the intello wash with Turbo although that takes 1 hour or so. The economy wash only takes 15 minutes including wash, rinse and spin. I had no idea if a wash could be that fast.

Another point of caution is while using a spin (this may be same with every washing machine). The spin crumples the clothes a lot and this makes it difficult to iron clothes (ofcourse I am not an expert at ironing). Intially I had to give it a dhobi Iron. But then I found a way out. I stop the spin halfway through once I see that there is no water coming out of the drainage pipe. This way crumples are lesser though the clothes are less dryer, anyway you never get 100% dryness.

The one I bought does not have a see through glass and when the cover is opened the machine stops. Being a Curious person I am I always want to see what is happening. Try finding one that a see through if you are curious.

Pros:

1) Great build, easy to move around and fix

2) Easy to use without any high funda stuff

3) Wash Programs are sufficient

4) can be moved easily and fits easily

Cons:

1) As exprienced with every product the service engineer will not come to your house for a demo. You need to keep pestering if you want one. But this product does not require one if you know how to tighten few screws.

2) No Hot water inlet

3) The inlet pipe length and dia is fixed and you can do nothing but extra plumbing is required if you donot have one of the same size or there is no outlet.

4) Economy wash program is a useless option
