I bought this player for two main reasons - One - it played ALL the disks that I tried on it. Having burnt my fingers trying a cheap chinese player bought on ebay - I wanted to go for a good branded product.
The other main reason was its sleekness - I have not seen another player which is as sleek.
I like the ease of use of this product.
The remote also has a nice feel to it with the right size of remote and buttons on it.
The drawbacks are minor -
It does not have a volume control or mute button. Hence when you add a 5.1 channel system - you will need a seperate remote to control the volume - yes you can use the TV volume control too.
Although the remote control has buttons for controlling TV [I’ve have an LG TV too], these work only on select models as per the response from dealer [does not work on my TV].
All the functions are not available on the player panel [you must use remote control for these].
