True Moonlight

I used this cellphone between June-Nov 2005 and I thought I’d write something on this.

This is by far the best mobile phone (in its category) from the CDMA RIM stock (or for that matter from any other stock also I believe).

Not that its got the best navigation, the best display, the best keys, the best ring tones, and best everything, but the product is excellent on the overall-effect. I got this damn cheap though it shipped with a tag of Rs. 10, 500/-.

The box shipped with the handset, a headset, the battery, a battery charger, the user manual and a handstrap.

The price and the cool looks are in fact the best bargains for this set. The moonlight blue backlit display’s overall effect is too good for a black/white set at this price. The display resolution is good enough. The address book has 300 x 4 memory locations and this set also features Speed Dial.

The key pad layout is typical LG style along with the typical LG navigation hierarchy. So be ready for the usual LG-style endless clicks. But the keys are well placed so you wont find much trouble once you learn the navigation tree. There are two scroller buttons on the side pane which you can use to scroll through menu and adjusting the volume.

Its good that LG did away with the external antenna sticking out with this cellphone. This handset also can use all the features of R World (except the MMS I guess). But the processor is as usual slower than the nokia model. They however have packed screensavers into this.

The case is sleek with everything is perfectly in place. The light is new. A side scroller, a signal indicator bulb and internal antenna makes this the best buy for guys going for RIM monochromes.
