PROS:
- Looks like a phone in an Italian suit. Feels good to touch the phone too. Has a nice rubbery feel to it.
- Large bright screen
- Lots of freebies like data cable that doesnt work and a 64 MB memory card
- Stereo speakers and MP3 capability. Good enough to replace your digital MP3 player.
- Good collection of games
CONS:
- USB Data cable doesnt work. Motorola Mobile Phone Tool software is buggy as hell. I did some quick research on Google and it looks like Im not the only one with problems with the phone cable and the software. Check Mobile-Review.com forums for more horror stories.
- No infrared. And the USB data cable doesnt work. So I had to buy a USB Bluetooth adapter so that I could transfer files between my Toshiba laptop and the E398.
- Grainy photos (well, this is the first time I am buying a camera phone. I already have a Sony 3.1 MP digital camera and I am used to its picture quality. So Im not sure if the E398 picture quality is acceptable)
- Dim witted & slow text entry. This phone is not for SMS fanatics.
