Purchased a EM 325 from Moto Store, Pune on 3rd Jan 09 for my wife.. She really liked the phone.. we all were happy with the purchase.. after a months use the navigation key came out..
we went to the Moto Store to fix the problem.. they informed us that service center is outsourced to a company called redington.. :( not expected...
finally visited so called service center of redington ...
1) security gave us a serial number...
2) waited for 45 for my turn..
3) now the guy @ counter discussed with someone (don’t know what he discussed) told us the this is not covered under warranty.. as technical they will treat that as "USER WEAR and TEAR"
4) we need to replace the keypad (not sure why the navigation key cannot be attached with some glue :( ... POOR Design here..
5) Finally he informed that they dont have pricing details so asked us to deposit Rs 115 (non-refundable) and wait...
This is shitty business… isn’t it ?

Its 3 weeks since I visited Moto Service center.. Only update I received from Motorola is that, it will cost me Rs 350 to replace the Key pad and they will call me once they receive the spare from the company…
Moto guys … if you cannot provide spares in 3 weeks you should not be selling your cells in India (or in any country).. This is not acceptable.

Its more then a month now.. After lots of bad blood, screaming, shouting, ranting, bashing and morethen 50 calls Motorola finally managed to get a Key Pad for my new cell phone.. I came to know about this only when I called my to check the status of my work order.....
One thing is for sure, Neither I am going to buy any Motorola cell phone in future not recommend one to anyone .. Cannot bear the pathetic service..
if any Motorola guys want my cell# or work order number please let me know.

Visited the service center and then fixed the problem.. however I am not at all happy with their service...
Even after paying Rs 302 for a new key pad, I received my cute cell with some scratches (I was told that Motorola sent them the keypad with scratches)...
lesson learned...
NEVER EVER buy any Motorola cell phone, they dont have their own service center... you have to go to a outsourced service center.. and by the time you fix your problem you will be famous for your bad mouth ....
