MTNL is an Internet Service Provider that perfectly balances its Service with its Customer Service - both suck!
Of late, my Internet connection(I am in Delhi) was suffering from frequent downtime. 20 to 25 times a day. cannot connect to the Internet. We called the complaint number(1504) and got a Customer Service Representative who, it seemed, had delusions of being the Prime Minister of India. He spoke patronisingly, imperiously and basically treated the "Customer" as a total moron.
I guess the privilege of simultaneously being Sarkaari and Anonymous emboldens these people. But what do you do? If I want to complain against this nameless, faceless barbarian, I will probably have to go through the experience of speaking with another nameless, faceless barbarian who will behave in the same obnoxious manner.
Even post the "conversation" with Customer Service, the Internet continues with its regular downtime. Cannot connect. no Internet. request timed out. this, in essence, is my Internet browsing experience with MTNL.
I am told that the Reviews here on MouthShut are supposed to guide new customers to make satisfactory Purchase Decisions. So here goes.
DO NOT CHOOSE MTNL! You will spend more time at your nearest cyber cafe if you do so, and also get abused and insulted frequently whenever you call Complaints or Customer Service.
