I recently bought a prepaid Mblaze Ultra. My experience is not bad. I would say, even though, the speed doesn’t match 3G Hsdpa of GSM, I get around .8 to 1.2 Mbps, mostly. The network instantly connects web pages. I live one km from their tower and I get 3 bars of 3G Plus signal.
If the data is in 1x, I discovered that, after log in the MTS home application, just disconnect and reconnect, it switches to 3G Plus mode. Actually, in the settings, there is no selection for 1x and 3G Plus. I think, the dongle is programmed automatic(Similar to Moto E 3G gsm phone, which has no WCDMA exclusive mode, but auto WCDMA/GSM only). I think, the speed of Mblaze ultra depends upon no. of users connected to the particular tower of your area.
So, it is not bad at all. I believe, they will increase the tower capacity. Please don’t discourage them, with bad reviews. I got 10 GB data for a dongle price of Rs.1749. I thank MTS for this offer. But they must improve the average 1.2 Mbps speed to 9.8 Mbps, as promised.
