I purchased this dongle 8 days ago, after a promise from MTS people that this will be a great purchase. They claimed Speed upto 9.8 Mbps and said my area is also feasible for high speeds in Delhi Pincode 110059.
Results:
Day 1 3 AM: Speed test result - D/L: 2.6 U/L: 1.5 Mbps - I thought Im loving it
Day 2 2 PM: Speed test result - D/L: 0.6 U/L: 0.2 Mbps - I thought may be an odd day The web browsing died:(
Day 2 6 PM: Speed test result - D/L: 0.1 U/L: 0.09 Mbps - I thought Was I wrong? The web browsing still dead:(
Day 3 1 AM: Speed test result - D/L: 1.6 U/L: 0.3 Mbps - I thought may be it will go better The web browsing still dead.
Day 3 8 AM: Speed test result - D/L: 0.2 U/L: 0.05 Mbps - I thought may be it will go better The web browsing still dead.
Day 3 1 PM: Speed test result - D/L: 0.1 U/L: 0.08 Mbps - The web browsing still dead.
Latency was always more than 110ms and would go upto 300-500ms
Day 3 2:26 PM, I called up MTS support a few times as call dropped, while on hold for 10-15 mins each time. Finally reached them after a hold of 25 mins. They raised a ticket, after some checks with my computer and said it will be resolved in 22 Hrs.
I was so happy that they promised to resolve in 22 hrs, WOW!
Day 4: 4:30 PM I called up support again to check the status, as its already 24hrs and no one has called yet.
I came to know that those 22 hrs were actually working hours, means almost 3 days LOL.
I closed the dongle pack and kept it in original packing, hoping that some one will call or come to my home to check this, but none came till Day 6.
Day 6: 4:30 PM, I received a phone call from MTS support and they advised that there is a some known network issue and work is in progress and will take around 4-5 weeks to get resolved.
Alas! I was told that my area has best connectivity so what happened here!
So I asked him if I should disconnect, so he advised it upto me.
So I decided to return the dongle, as I was told by MTS that there was a return policy that if dongle doesnt work well, then I can return it within 15 days from activation and data usage should not exceed more than 1 GB.
Day 8: Called up customer service at-least 5 times and each time I asked for disconnection and discussed issue, as soon as I said them that I still want to disconnect, they said please hold and dropped the call.
So gave up the hopes for this day.
Day 9 Called up again and same thing happened
So I decided to have a chat with them over support section of website, after we login to their account.
Talked to service rep for 10-15 mins and he finally raised a disconnection request and same will be sanctioned within 30 hours(not sure if these are working hrs).
Still I dont know how will my money for dongle will be returned, chat rep told me to visit the nearest MTS shop.
So this is my whole painful story for past 9 days.
So guys trust me, this service is not worth the fake promises made by the company.
Hence, I would say that MTS is not celebrating GB festival, but its a looting festival.

Disconnection request accepted and dongle is closed now. But still not sure how will I be submitting my dongle back and get my money back!
