Movie Review Of Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai

Average movie where a young good for nothing guy (tushar kapoor) falls in love with a rich-smart-sexy yet simple girl who is born in the USA (Kareena Kapoor). He doesn’t have the guts to propose her so he takes advice from everyone, from his 6 pals to his sister (rinkie khanna) to his uncle (amrish puri in a lovable role) and in the absolute end tells her. (That is after she says I love you). Nothing new in this story. (So what..thats expected of an average hindi movie). The songs are there just for no damn reason. (again expected from an average hindi movie). Lots of technical flaws. (which flight of Air india to USA leaves at 10 in the morning??? Is it so very easy to get admission in Harward college?? they have even got the spelling of harward wrong..its harvard) No on expects director satish kaushik to be in lines of spielberg, copolla, scorcesse or hitchcock but we expect something nice from a person who has assissted to people like shekar kapoor and kundan shah. Some of the one liners are passable (wish I could say the same about the movie) but thats about that. The acting is just about average. A popcorn stuff. See it if you have nothing else to do on a sunday afternoon.

By the way..there was lots of pre-release publicity about history in the making with this movie. they said 35 years ago Jeetendra made his debut opposite babita in Farz. And now Jeetendra’s son makes his debut opposite babita’s daughter kareen kapoor. Just for the record guys..Jeetendra DID NOT MAKE his debut opposite babita in Farz. Farz was in fact his second movie. His first movie was V.Shantaram’s classic ’’Geet Gaaya Patharo Ne’’.
