Superb phone

If you see the CDMA phone market today…. there is huge variety of phone available from LG, Samsung to Nokia… such a beautiful models, various features and phone/sound quality is also as good as GSM.

But few months a ago the seen was not same. From Nokia there was only one CDMA model available i.e. 2112. CDMA gives best connectivity within the loop and excellent sound clarity, but handsets??? those were pathetic. I used LG and Samsung for long time and was frustrated bcoz of phone quality…. poor quality speakers, no addition features, low battery life, handset gets heated while speaking (You could also feel its warmth for long time even after kept it in pocket after speaking). Finally I had planned to switch to GSM again. I was looking for good GSM phone on the net and there I found this 6235 posted on Nokia site. Phone was quite good in looks, closed to other GSM 62.. series of Nokia. I went through features offered and found interesting. I was not interested in 2112 bcoz of little phone book memory and no additional features like Cam, FM etc. after checking all pros cons, comparison with other phone I decided to go for 6235.

Experience:

When I saw handset first time in shop, a quick thought ran in my mind “Boy… this one looks sexy…..”, and why not, it was. This was the best CDMA phone available in the gallery. And more over there was no reliance LOGO on it, just a Nokia. (All other CDMA phones had/has Reliance trade mark logo). Within my friends, no buddy was able to know, it’s a CDMA phone, who ever saw it in my hands asked to have a look, which ensured me, this phone really look nice and can grab any ones attention.

Sound: excellent clarity, and good variation from low volume to high. Low.. goes as low as you anticipated and high is quite high to hear in noisiest traffic jam as well.

Some time I felt that speaker sounds tore on high volume; this is not as noticeable as its on LG and Samsung. But still….. this shouldn’t happen, isn’t it? I prefer to use headphone becoz of this, headphone given is the same of 6100 series, sound clarity is fantastic.

Camera: picture quality is very good. Picture’s taken in day light were as good as it was taken on other Digi cams. There is a Zoom and night mode feature but clarity is not that good, it looks like you are watching low pixels picture on big screen. Apart from this, I found 6235’s camera is better that any other phone cam (Don’t compare with today’s mega pixel phone cams).

FM: as best as it is in Nokia. No problem at all.

Battery: This is most important component in CDMA phone. to my surprise, I get maximum 4 days stand by (rare with other CDMA phones), and minimum 2 days (Heavy use). Yes, but if you use camera, battery goes down quickly (and that is quite usual I think).

There is a quite mysterious funda of battery life indicator in this phone. If you get two days stand by then it should show half used on first day and fully used on second day.. but it not like that in this one. The indicator remain tall (as full) on first day, and on second day it goes down rapidly (like battery is gonna die). I didn’t understand the logic behind this? What so ever, Hello Nokia….don’t confuse users……

Features: it has all good features like calendar, notes, to do list etc.. you can find complete details on Nokia site. Only thing I want to mention is… in note/to do list… there is no alarm to set, where it should have been there. All other phone has and its very useful to set alarm when you are making a note of something you want to do. If there is no alarm then how it will remind you on time? (only wake up alarm is available).

Infrared: this is fantastic, you can transfer pictures, songs, wallpaper, ring tones, notes, to do list’s items…etc… I’m yet to try other things. But I tell you, this facility is not available in other IR phones. (as of I know, its not there in most of IR phones, they can’t transfer these many items.)

Missing: I miss extendable memory feature in this. No video recording, no PG3, MPG (real player). Blue tooth is not expected at price range it sales.

Conclusion: This is best CDMA phone for all class of people, not too expensive, with all require features, good cam, FM, wallpaper quality is very good.. and what else you would need. For day to day use, office, party, night life….. this phone suites every where….. you can go for it blindly.
