I have had this phone for approx. 8 months. Was really eager to get it and was dissappointed when it was not available shortly after launch. And my excitement on finally acquiring the phone was boundless. But, within a month, the phone had problems - it wouldn’t turn on. I expected that I could return the phone and get a replacement, but that’s not how things are done here in India.
So, I went to the customer care center and they took my phone and a day later told me that they had to send it in for repairs. Three weeks later, no phone. And another week later, they finally returned my phone which certainly looked refurbished. Now, after a few more months, the handset speaker will not work. I look ridiculous using the speaker phone for all calls - very embarrassing when you have to take personal calls. I think this phone is not as sturdy as one would think. I have never dropped this phone, it has received the best care possible and still...
Now, I have to put up with a few more weeks of loss of use of the phone while it travels to the repair center and back! I have no hopes that this phone has the reliability that normally Nokia is known for. As for me, I’d personally hesitate purchasing a Nokia phone again and will likely influence other people to stay away from them. I would have been happy if the phone was replaced as it developed problems so soon after purchase.
