Good DVD player

Being a recent purchaser of this piece, I would like to first dwell on the purchase.

--I bought the item by auction from indiatimes.com. This was a good experience - but it does take some time. My bid was approved the same day, and my credit card debited the next. The piece, however, landed up home a straight 2 weeks later. Cant say the website guys didnt warn me, but that’s how it is !!

Since I saved ~~1000 bucks compared to MRP, the wait was worth it.

--The piece is fully loaded - DVDs and VCDs work just fine. The brochure additionally promises MP3/CD-DA/CD-R/CD-RW......which other than MP3s is a whole set of unintelligible alphanumerics.

--The single disc holder is a minor inconvenience for the VCD viewer - most movies have several discs.

The DVDs I saw gave terrific visual and sound effects - the stuff associated with DVDs. This is as much to do with the player quality as with the DVD recording.

Other aspects -

Front loading for the disc rack is supposed to be better in terms of lesser dust - it is ok convenience wise.

The connections are easy to my LG 25’’;

The remote is good. In fact we are moving to the times of simple buttons on the main piece, and most features/ buttons on the remote (I still have to figure out most of them).

The warranty of one year has not yet been tested (fingers crossed).

That sort of covers everything. Good luck, happy viewing.
