Snap-it Print-it Stick-It. Its:The Polaroid Pogo

We are all familiar with Polaroid cameras, we are well aware of its advantages and disadvantages. Well now its gone DIGITAL " The Polaroid Pogo CZA-05300 instant Digital camera "

Without further delays lets get into a few quick details of the contents in the box. The Polaroid POGO CZA-05300 comes with an instruction manual, software CD, USB cable, a strap, Charger, a pouch, Polaroid posing paper and of course the camera itself. Well that was the Kit.. now lets take a quick look at the Specs. For starters Its got 5 mega-pixels.. Its Digital. A 4X digital Zoom..and it even lets you take printouts instantly..pretty good for an average Digicam but that’s not all. Its uses the Anti-Smudge Zink-ink technology. So no waiting to grab your pics ( just let it print though. It even lets you choose frames/ backgrounds for you pictures with a very easy-to use in-built post-shoot editing. Plus it lets you stick your printed pics wherever you want!!!!! ALL DONE IN 40 SECONDS!!!!!!!! Needless to say. Like all digital cams now a days you even get live -view’s and if you are clever enough it can even print you out a visiting card.

Ideally this camera is made for light headed fun loving people, who haven’t got the patience for the final result. but 2 mins in my hand and it brought a smile in me, so trust me its fun. Now that doesn’t mean that serious guys can’t use it. Its got no fancy colors in the outside and when you look at it from a distance it resembles a little-out-of-date digital camera. Think of it as an innovative Idea to satisfy a variety of crowd..but I certainly cant go with that I’d loved to have seen a few light colors here and there. Just to add a little fun to the whole experience.

But one cannot complain with a price tag of just 8-10K . Now I do not see any official arrival of the product in India just yet.But I was lucky enough to have a friend of mine from Hong Kong let me play around with it for a few minutes. The main downside of the product, as far as I can figure out, was, the availability and cost of the printing paper ($10 for 30 sheets) as well as the cartridges...but always remember...if you don’t want to use the printer...you need not.
