Authentic Kashmiri Cuisine.

This restuarant shows that it has been made out of a nostalgic Kashmiri Pandit. Just behind the Infinity mall in Andheri West, is a not -so big and popular restuarant. The decor is kept simple yet authentic, reminding us of Kashmiri shikaras. They have few shikaras which can be booked to dine comfortably.Om takoo’s "poush"meaning lotus flower is worth a visit.

The interiors have slanted pine ceiling, typical Kashmiri embroidery and conventional shikaras.Their menu consists of Rishta, Roganjosh, Gaad, Nadier Palak and the best not to be missed is their Rajma which is mouth-watering!Do try the Qahwa-a Kashmiri tea, or a poor man’s brandy. For dessert they serve Phirun-firni, which is quite good for a sweet tooth! No alcohol is served there, but hookah a yes.A place to enjoy real Kashmiri cuisine. The downside is that the place is not air -conditioned and they charge extra to book a shikara or else they have regular bamboo furniture.I would recommend shikara as it is worth every penny! So, happy dining!
