I was your regular Idea customer before I switched to jio.
At the time every mobile data plans very highly priced. I was using the one month 2G plan of Idea regularly which was priced 201 rupees. Apart from this I had to recharge and amount of 100 rupees for talktime every month. At first I thought the jio introductory offers was a promotional offer for a month or two. At the start the jio offered unlimited 4G internet with unlimited calls, SMS and data. I got this offer for up to 6 months without paying extra money. The internet speed was very fast at cities. The internet speed at rural area was also good comparing other networks. After 6 months jio offered a new plan completely free of cost for another 6 months with data limitation of 4GB during day and unlimited Internet between 12: 00 a.m. and 4: 00 a.m.
The jio mobile network has revolutionized the way we think of data usage in India. Instead of using 1GB per month I was using about 2GB per day. As an after effect all the other mobile service providers started to reduce price for different plans and came up with new plans to tackle jio. Till now no other mobile service providers has a better plan than jio.
