I got my sim in July and at that time the services were excellent. I used to use around 5-10 GB a day on their network as I had the preview offer activated. I even used to call my friends via this network and the call quality was good and the call used to connect all the time. I was a very happy customer of Jio at that time and used to tell my friends to get a sim for themselves as well.
But now things have changed, now the services are very poor and I can say that my previous operator(Airtel) had far better services than this. I face call disconnections and call not connecting errors most of the time. When I call someone over this network the call never connects. I have to try several times to get this connected.
Even the data connectivity is also poor. Only thing that is good with this is that it is free and offers constant connection over this network. At first I used to get around 40-50 Mbps speed on this network during the first few months of Jio and after September 5th( launch date) the speeds have gone so slow that it is around the 8 Mbps mark.
All this started happening ever since Mukesh ambani had announced that the services are open to all. At first the services were excellent and now they are way below average.
I think all this is happening because this service is free for all and people are exploiting it at the moment and the network is still in beta testing. I think all this will be fixed when the services start operating commercially and start charging users.
At last I would like to say that this is one of the best telecom operators available in the market right now because its services are completely FREE. If these devices were paid at the moment then the my opinions would have been completely different.
I think that the services will improve once Jio commercially comes out on 1st January 2017.
