Jio- Just the massive hype!

Reliance Jio just swallowed the entire telecom market with its massive branding skills and lustrous offers which lured millions of customers towards opting to its service.


However here are some points where Jio really needs to focus on-


Network- TRAI has stated that Reliance Jio has the best network among all the LTE network services but I totally disagree with this. The cellular network has major issues in many parts of Pune and Mumbai. Even in crowded areas the range is really bad which affects the data speed and call quality.


Customer Service- The customer service is really poor. I was waiting for almost 20 minutes on the phone waiting for someone to pick up the call and respond to my query. The email replies are not at all prompt. They take 48 hours to reply and sometimes even forget to reply. Apart from the auto-generated emails nothing is prompt.


Charges and Billing- Considering the charging and billing sector of the company it is pretty average. I’ve read about many people facing billing issues on their websites and problems while performing banking transactions. Charges on their plans are pretty cheap although I suggest that they should work on lower rate plans apart from the’303 DDD’ plan


Jio Apps- The apps are poorly designed and consume huge amount of cellular data and cause heating issues. I have faced heating and battery draining issues with the Jio apps on iOS. They should really hire good developers for this.


If the company focuses on these points it might satisfy the users and it will definitely create a’dedicated users’ base of its own.
