The latest 007 movie, skyfall released world wide on Nov 01, 2012 fails to stir or shake. This movie is faulted from conception to execution. One can not find any thematic relevance to Ian Flemings James Bond. High time the producers and directors sit and read all the books of Ian Fleming and take more seriously the movie making. Fictional Bond is a stylish, executive or diplomat like personality with fine tastes and discrete indulgence. MI6 is never revealed openly, and reference is always as universal exports for MI6. The villain (spectre) is a well organized global underground organization with well defined hierarchy and purpose. Here in this movie Bond is portrayed like a probationer, his style is very ordinary.
The villain is unconvincing, his evil plans are not convincing too. At MI6 everyone seemingly is working at cross purpose and look confused and clueless. Q an young find is comical rather than serious. The gadgets given to Bond by Q for mission look like they are bought from china bazar. Again if you read Ian Fleming, Bond"s father was an unknown scottish man. In this movie it is shown as if he grew with his scottish father of noble decent! They have not only killed M at the end, they have killed the brand of bond too. This could be the last of Daniel Craigs 007 role; and more so, the beginning of an end of Bond saga. This movie is a testimony of dearth of story, direction and deeper understanding of bond as an iconic character.
This skyfall is a pathetic addition to bond series. This movie proves one point, if you are rich you need not take your work seriously to make more money. Quick rich is worse than poverty.
