I had ordered for a Sony Xperia Z (black) on 2nd April 2013 as the freebies offered were more as compared to other websites and the estimated shipping date provided to me was 9th April. After constant calls and complaint emails, I got a message on 9th April that the product will be shipped by 12th April. On 10th April morning, I received a call from Snapdeal representative saying that the black version is not available and they can ship the white model to me if its fine with me.
Since I wanted the black model, I asked her to tell me the time that would take for the black model to ship. She told me to hold on as she went and talked with their vendor and informed me that the black model is not at all available so I asked her to cancel my order and inquired about the refund time. She said the refund would be credited within 7-10 days, I said ok to cancel the order. I didnt receive any update like a sms or an email about the cancellation so I contacted the CC and told her about the morning conversation.
She started telling me that its not necessary that you would get the black model only, Snapdeal can send any color model. After arguing with her, she told me to wait as she wanted to check something and later informed me that you are correct and the cancellation request has been raised and gave me the cancellation request number. On asking her more details, she said you will receive an email about cancellation in 24 hours and the refund would be done in 10-15 days (7-10 days became 10-15 days)
After this conversation, I asked her why the black product is still being shown as available on the website, she said that it needs to be updated and I have raised a request for it. Just a while ago when I checked Snapdeal again, the white model they were providing me in the morning has been sold out while the black model still shows as available and the shipping date is 3 business days, wow! The 32 GB memory card offer is back as well.
The representatives are completely ignorant about Snapdeal policies and always have to check something or the other when asked with details. I am just hoping to get the refund as soon as possible, no more snapdeal for me and wont recommend it to any one.
