I have a Standard Chartered Titanium super value card on which I am promised 5% cash-back with limits of Rs 100 per transaction and Rs 500 in a month. The cash-back was valid on transactions above Rs 500.
Suddenly after 2-3 months the cash-back stopped. On inquiring with the bank they said they have changed the T&C to make the minimum transaction value Rs 750. This was just 2 months after issuing the card. They continue to lure new customers and then point them to the changed T&C.
There is no intimation via e-mail or SMS on this change of transaction value. All their statements and transaction alerts are being sent on mail and SMS. But this important information was supposedly mentioned somewhere on their website. I still could not find it on their website and the person who replied also did not send any link of the page where they have mentioned this limit change.
They are crooks of the biggest order and cheat honest people in this manner.
