Sydney is one of my favorite Australian cities to visit. The picturesque harbour, coupled with the busy, fun filled city make Sydney a perfect holiday destination.
Some of the best beaches in the world can be found around Sydney, including the famous Bondi Beach.
Sightseeing in Sydney includes the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Aquarium, Powerhouse Science Museum, Chinatown, Chinese Gardens, Darling Harbour, the Sydney 2000 Olympic Site, Centrepoint Tower and the amazing Blue Mountains around Sydney. There are more features as well, far too many to name.
The Blue Mountains is one of the most spectacular National Parks in Australia, and you can see many great sights. There is also a cable car and train that you can ride to see the best sights.
In Inner City Sydney there is a huge array of great restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. The Star City Casino is worth a look, along with many other great shopping malls in the city.
Public Transport in the city is readily availiable, with monorail, electric trains, ferries, buses and taxis at easy access.
My favorite area of Sydney is the Darling Harbour Complex, which contains the IMAX theatre, Sony World, the Aquarium, and a huge variety of shopping malls, parks and gardens.
Also, just outside of Sydney is Australia’s Wonderland, a theme park full of great rides, shows and fun for the whole family.
