*Taj Bengal Hotel -** It bears the imprint of **Taj**, the Brand Name, so imaginately given to it. And also it reminds one about the beautiful **Taj Mahal.** For another reason, I admire the Brand Name composer. After the constitution and establishment of **Bangladesh, WestBengal **is a misnomer, because **East Bengal **is now a part of history. When it has not been possible politically to **rename West Bengal as Bengal**, the Brand Name Composer people have done it while naming **Taj Bengal Hotel. ** Bravo.!
I had stayed in this Hotel recently, while partipating in a Tourism Conference held here. The right place for the right theme. I have, in the past, stayed at the **Taj Coramandal Hotel( Chennai **) the **Taj Samudra Hotel( Colombo **). Back home in Delhi, I have also stayed at the **Taj Palace Hotel **on many occasions. Every **Taj Hotel gives you the royal comfort and makes you to forget your worries and anxieties.
*The piped music is not only soothing, but sometimes inspiring also, depending on the time in which it is played. The Room Service Staff, Sstaff at the Dining Hall, the Bell Captain and his Staff, and most importantly, the smartly dressed one at the Hotel Perch always are there with a smile to serve you.
*The room decor matches with the total ambience of the of the Hotel. Every service is speedily done.
*My Bed Tea has always been Tea with Lemon, and that too, the Tea Brand is **Lipton Green Label**. And whenever I call the Room Service for this type of Tea, within about ten minutes, I get it. Very refreshing indeed to give you a good start for the Day. The Breakfast is according to one’s taste - Alu Paratha, Corn Flakes with Cold Milk, so that the Corn Flake does not lose its crispyness, Bread, Butter and Egg to your taste. Lunch and Dinner Menus are equally varied, I enjoy the refreshingly hot Soup bearing ** Taj imprint.
Since it is a popular Hotel, it is better to book for Romms/s in advance. Online Booking is possible**.
You have facilities for connecting your Lap Top to Internet. A very good excellent Swimming Pool and Sauna Bath facilities are there. There is an excellent Shopping Arcade where you get anything that you need to buy. The Shops accept Credit Cards. There is a branch of the State Bank of India at the Hotel. The Bell Captain takes care of your postal needs. Laundry facilities are excellent. There is also an Astrologer, a Palmist and a Tarrot Card Reader at this Hotel.
I have enjoyed my stay at this Hotel. And I would recommend you to do so. My Bill was taken care of by the Tourism Conference people. Even otherwise, I would always prefer Taj Bengal, if I can afford it.
