I have taken delivery of brand new Aqua Safire (2011 version) yesterday and this review is only my initial impression having driven and experienced the car yesterday and today morning.
Having been a proud owner of Tata Indica Xeta (Which I exchanged for Manza) and Maruti Swift (Which I continue to own), all I can say is that the car is nothing short of Stunning!!
Right from the Dual Tone Interior to ride quality, to A/C, Instrumentation Cluster, Looks and Gear Box. Just look around, and the experience (feeling) is truly International. Just cannot believe that this car is a TATA car!! So silent, perfect gear shifts, superb breaking, effortless handling and driving. All I can say is that this is indeed a dream come true!!
Only if TATA’s can improve their dealership experience. Not to say the dealership from where I purchased was bad. I went back to them after good experience with Indica Xeta. Just that this car is notches above anything available at the price and experience so far. Anything ordinary and you wonder because this car is way above ordinary. Maruti Swift was my benchmark before but this car has easily surpassed that, by miles!!
I will of course provide further updates with time but for now all I would like to say, "TRULY INTERNATIONAL".
UPDATE (29-Mar-2011):
A little more than a month, first service went smoothly, car even smoother and more silent.
Just back from a long trip yesterday and oh boy, this car is a gem. Drives effortlessly on highways, at 120 km/h this was rock steady. Only wind and tyre noise. And yes, the feeling was that I could easily go faster. But I don’t believe in driving on other side of 100 km/h. Touched 120 only to test capability of the car and she wont disappoint you!!
No niggles, no vibrations, no irritating noises. All is well and ok!!
