I went to look out for Dish TV / Tata Sky in Cochin as I am not getting good channels from Asianet Cable.
Both schemes seem to be almost similar. However, I was surprised that the franchisees of these schemes, were disinterested, ill informed and generally didnt care a damn whether I bought the thing or not. now, when the company is so weak in selling their product, I can well imagine what will be their after sales service.
There was no clear answer on total charges. for eg. even though the brochure says total cost as Rs 2950(inclusive of tax), the guy said taxes would be extra. the guy didn’t even want to part with the brochure!
So, I dont think this is a good scheme to go for, as it would tie you down for next 5 years, just like reliance did with their CDMA phones.
