10 Best Scenes / Moments of Hindi Films

This is a topic on which I wanted to write a review for a long time.

I have watched nearly 700 Hindi films. Some Classics. Some Duds.

It is one of the most difficult tasks to pick up 10 best scenes/moments from so many Hindi films But I have tried my level best. None of these scenes are any particular order. They are just 10 scenes I liked amongst a huge database.

Warning

Some of the scenes may give away the climax of a movie. Read it at your own risk.

Movie - Do Bigha Zameen

The climax scene of the movie where Balraj Sahani comes back from the city to find that his farm has been taken away by the industrialists. If there is one scene which will bring a lump to anyone’s throat, It is this one. The Best Climax, EVER in any hindi film ever made till date.

Movie - Satya

Again towards the climax. When J.D.Chakravarthy is in the back of the car, badly injured. Saurabh Shukla is driving the car towards the docks. And When J.D.Chakravarthy puts the revolver on Saurabh Shukla’s head and says ’’Mujhe Ek Baar Vidya Ke Paas Le Chal.’’

No Words needed to praise this touching scene.

Movie - Kagaz Ke Phool

The Movie starts as a flashback. It ends in the scene where the director is shown sitting in his old age on his chair. Guru Dutt’s unofficial Biography and life story. Again, The climax scene is one of the finest.

Movie - Sholay

The Entry Of Amjad Khan (gabbar Singh). The Entire 7 minute scene where he kills his henchmen because they didnt get the loot. That one scene made Sholay The Biggest hit of the Hindi Film Industry till that Dud of a movie - Hum Aapke Hain Kaun overtook it.

Movie - Main Aazad Hoon

This movie was inspired scene-by-scene from a Frank Capra Classic, Meet John Doe. All The Scenes except the scene Where Aazad is on the top of the building. In the original movie, the hero never jumps from the building. In Main Aazad Hoon we have the most shocking climax scene.

Truly this is one of Amitabh Bachchan’s finest acting performances and Excellent Script by Javed Akhtar. You really get stunned when Amitabh Bachchan says those final words. ’’Tum Sub Chahte Ho ke aazad mar jaaye. Lekin Aazad nahi marega.’’

Movie - Deewar

Many People say that the climax scene of Deewar is the best, I say it is the scene where Ifteqar Throws Money on the Table To Amitabh Bachchan and He Says, ’’Main Aaj Bhi Phaikey huey paisey nahi uthata.’’ A scene which leaves the viewers with a huge impact.

Movie - Parinda

Again, The Climax scene. Though it is more or less a clichéd Hindi film, the direction and the screenplay is very powerful and gripping. The Climax scene where Jackie Shroff Burns The Entire Room of Nana Patekar with the same lighter that Anil Kapoor Gives Him is absolutely well Directed. A must watch.

Movie - Krantiveer

A Film filled with superb dialogues and excellent script. That 2 minute Climax scene when Nana Patekar gives the fiery speech in the climax revived Nana Patekar Career and earned him the Filmfare and The National Award for the Best Actor.

Movie - Jallad

Although this movie largely went unnoticed as it was a Mithun Chakraborty Film It earned him the award for Best Villain (Why can?t they just scrape these best villain and best comedian awards and have one for only best actor/actress or supporting actor/actress?). Once Again it is the climax scene. The Villain Mithun Chakraborty Is almost dead. And instead of crying and being nice, he puts a garland over himself and smiles and says ’’Amavas ki Jai.’’ Superb Climax and wonderful performance by Mithun.

Movie - Kahi Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye

A Surprise Entry. A Dud Movie. Dud Performances. Everything about it was terrible. Except of that one wonderful scene where Salman Khan And Jackie Shroff are shown drunk and talking nonsense. Believe it or not, this is one of the most wonderful scenes in Hindi Movies.

There are thousands of scenes which are Excellent but it would require a huge book to write about all of them (Maybe some day I will) but these are the 10 Which I liked the best.

Comments are always welcome.
