We recently booked a holiday through Travel Hungama. It was a nightmare.
1) We transferred money to their bank account but there was no confirmation from them for at least four days. In contrast, someone like Cleartrip responds almost immediately.
2) After four days they told us that our booking is not confirmed as the hotel was overbooked. We then asked them to refund us the money as we could look elsewhere. They did not do it but kept us hanging for another four days.
3) In the meantime, some of our family made other plans. After four days (and repeated phone calls from our side that went unanswered), they said our booking was confirmed.
4) We wanted to modify the number of people (as some had changed plans) but they said it could not be done and again refused to respond to us).
5) The resort itself was terrible and does not deserve to be called a hotel.
6) The resort guy had no intimation of the payment made to Travel Hungama. We had made some extra payment but that was not accounted against the extras consumed at the hotel.
I have read a positive review on mouthshut from someone called bnavaney. That makes me suspicious too as the Travel Hungama proprietor is also a Navaney.
