If you ever wish to go for a HUTCH connection think twice or thrice or maybe even more times. I have been using the connection in hyderabad (This is the place where hutch has got the maximum subscribers) they have got the worst network even in this city. Being the 4th service provider, it also stands 4th in terms of network, customer service name any thing it ranks 4th. If a customer has got some problem, you have to hang on the phone for a minimum of 10 minutes and at times, one has to wait for 15 minutes and the call gets disconnected I guess this is thier marketing technique to pester thier customers and discourage them from calling their call center and thus show that they have the least number of complaints!! interestingly, TRAI allots spectrum on the basis of No of connections and these clever people activate some thousands of prepaid connections by themselves even without selling them to show that they have huge customer base and claim more spectrum unfortunately TRAI does not mandate the providers to have proportionate call center executives to look into grievances. If one wishes to go to their outlet (Hutch shop which the company calls) he/she will be issued a token and made to wait for a minimum of an hour to get the turn. Especially their coverage is the WORST than the WORST I spend my day hardly 20 meters from the hutch main shop and my phone is unavailable most of the time and the call drops for almost every call I make. Whenever we complain about the network we get a standard reply that they are on the task. one fine morning, my phone was disconnected when I approached their shop, I was asked to pay the bill on 29th even though my due date is on 2nd of the next month even then I paid the bill the very moment and I was told the phone would be active in 30 minutes time but till late in the night it was not activated and I had to call their call center and after staying on the line for 11 minutes, I got through and the connection restored!! One of my friends had a problem with BSNL mobile and his problem was not solved through the call center and he approached the exchange and one would not believe but the issue was rectified in less than 60 SECONDS yes I am talking of SECONDS these murky little private players never lose an opportunity to squeeze the pockets of thier supposedly valuable customers but when it comes to service, they keep their hands off. Our state owned PSEs top in service theres no doubt in it and the time will definitely take a toll on these greedy private players like Hutch.
