Robbers, cheats, scounderals!!

I have been using Vodafone since past 1.5 years or so. Nothing special, had to shift due to pathetic Airtel network of which I had a prepaid connection. Kept Airtel no for future use and emergency.

Start was ok, network was good initially and so had high hopes. Also, was expecting good service since I took corporate plan.

But I guess I must have expected trouble!!

Network quality deteriorated after few months. Dropped calls have become a norm. Abt Airtel, guess what, network quality is fantastic now. They have surely worked on it!!

1) For starters, they did not tell me at time of signing up / documentation that I need to pay 199/- as advance rental. When connection was being activated, this was told to me. When I argued, they said I could choose to stop right here.

Great! So much for dadagiri.

2) GPRS rates are super high. I took vodafone live initially for Rs.49/- mo / rental. Guess the free data on this plan? 5 mb!!! Rs.10 / mb. These jokers are still living in dial up age!! (BTW, Airtel now charges Rs.99/- for 2GB!!).

3) Since I wanted to access office mails (exchange server) I upgraded to VMC at Rs.250/- rental.

Guess what these jokers did? They did not deactivate Vodafone live and at the same time activated VMC.

4) To take this further, they billed me for both Vodafone live and VMC. This is in spite of getting acknowledgement by SMS about deactivating Vodafone live.

5) Calling call center is of no use. They do not have any record of the acknowledgements!!

6) Visiting vodafone gallery and showing SMS they realise the mistake and deactivate vodafone live!!

Immediately. Ok, that is half of the problem.

7) Other half, well they dont refund the amount charged on Vodafone live for past 4 months!! That is almost Rs.200/-

8) Will they ever do it? No. Why, because they dont have any records!!

Will I continue with these jokers. Of course not. With MNP, who cares!! :)
