The title is the same as their catch line on the adverts in bangalore. Went with little expectations even though heard a lot about their parent park in Cochin and came back impressed. Lucky that I did not visit any other water park or would have skipped this one.
Crisp, clean, hygienic and safe. You will like every moment here. The entry fee seems stupendous at 480/head on the weekend. But then there is no parking fee and plenty of parking space. No need to jostle around for parking like at my office complex or our malls. Credit cards are accepted for entry fees only. Make sure you carry cash for for eatables and minor purchases. No camera fees either!
Once you enter the place the thing that strikes at you is the cleanliness. Inspite of such a huge crowd even the changing areas are spic n span. Perhaps they should be allowed to manage some of our infrastructure :)
Lockers are available for you as low as 20 Rupees. 100 Rupee deposit is required, which is promptly returned when you turn the key back to the counter. Pretty safe lockers too. I just dumped my camera too in it when it became a burden. (cameras can be annoying at times especially when you are the one doing all the clicking :) )
Food is available at reasonable rates. A typical south indian meal costs you 40 rupees and it is good. A 500ml pepsi comes at 20 Rupees.
Forgot to carry changing clothes? Need a temp swim cap....Dont worry help is at hand. Everything is available inside.
Kids are not allowed on most of the rides. Make sure you have someone accompanying you so that you can take turns. Two couples plus kids would be ideal when you can take turn with the kids.
Rides are good and can make you topsy turvy. They look safe too with their standardised safety harnesess.
Recommend that you try the dry rides first top it off with the giant wheel (goes real slow letting you a good view of the park). Start off with the splasher that drops the coaster into a pool.(If you wanna do it last like I did, you can buy a rain coat for 10 bucks). But day time is best for this as you can get your snap too on the ride for 45 bucks. Hit the water then and let it all loose. Try the pendulum. Plenty of water slides too. Or if you like the beach try the wave pool. Did not like the wave pool much as the waves are too consistent to give you a natural feel.
Transport is a big negative if you dont have your own. The park provides transport upto nearest bus stop but that is out of Kengeri and is very difficult to get a bus. Best is to have your own transport. Perhaps they could come up with transport into the city.
But we the people are the biggest enemy I guess. They have ample toilets placed at all parts of the park. Still I saw a lady making her kiddo pee into the lawn. Guess the water is safe as the treatments they claim to be doing.
Parting shot, the gates open at 11A, be there at that time. look at the route map, make strategic decisions or you will not be able to finish all at one go. They close down by 8 P on weekends.
Make sure you carry loads of suncreen and apply it every 3 hrs! The sun can be very punishing.
